Mueller refrigerant manifolds are designed to enhance the performance of Mueller Falling Film Chillers by ensuring precise and efficient distribution of refrigerants, such as ammonia or R-134a, in industrial cooling systems. These manifolds are critical for applications requiring consistent low-temperature chilling, including food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical production, and chemical cooling. Integrated with Mueller’s Temp-Plate® technology, they deliver superior heat transfer efficiency and maintain stable evaporator performance.

Crafted from high-grade Type 304 stainless steel (with optional 316L for enhanced corrosion resistance), Mueller refrigerant manifolds feature standard inlet/outlet connections (1, 1½, 2-inch NPT(F) or flanged) and distribution ports (½, ¾, 1-inch NPT(F)) to accommodate high-pressure refrigerant flows. Optional features include pressure relief valves, sight glasses, and flow regulators to ensure safe operation and easy monitoring. The manifolds are designed for compatibility with chiller configurations ranging from 4 (3x3) to 32 (4x8) evaporator plates, supporting cooling capacities from 10 to 100 tons.

These manifolds minimize pressure drops and ensure uniform refrigerant distribution across evaporator plates, preventing hot spots and maximizing energy efficiency. Optional insulation kits and mounting brackets simplify installation on chiller frames or facility structures, reducing vibration and improving system longevity. Color-coded or labeled manifolds (e.g., green for refrigerant supply, silver for return) reduce the risk of installation errors, enhancing safety in high-pressure environments.
